Cleaning & Remediation Questions

A biohazard refers to any biological substance that poses a risk to human health. This includes blood, bodily fluids, human tissue, animal waste, feces, urine, drug paraphernalia, or contaminated materials from trauma, unattended deaths, or hoarding situations. These materials can carry dangerous pathogens such as HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and other bloodborne diseases.
It's strongly discouraged. Cleaning up blood or other bodily fluids without proper training and equipment is extremely dangerous. Even small traces can carry harmful pathogens. BioSecure Solutions uses OSHA-compliant methods, professional-grade disinfectants, and protective gear to ensure the area is completely sanitized and safe.
Although homeowners in California can technically clean minor biohazards, it is highly discouraged due to strict health regulations, safety risks, and legal requirements for proper disposal. Serious biohazards—such as blood from trauma, unattended deaths, or significant bodily fluids—must be handled by professionals with a Trauma Scene Waste Management Practitioner license
We handle cleanup after: Crime scenes or trauma incidents, Unattended deaths or decomposition, Suicide scenes, Blood and bodily fluid spills, Hoarding situations with human or animal waste Homeless encampments Infectious disease contamination (COVID-19, MRSA, etc.)
All waste is placed in red biohazard bags and sealed according to OSHA and state law. It's then transported to a licensed medical waste facility for safe disposal. We maintain documentation and follow all California Department of Public Health guidelines.

Based on our conversation and agreement, our team will remove personal effects, trash and debris that is no longer serviceable or of value. We will also wipe down surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom(s). More detailed cleaning and disinfection may also be provided at an additional cost.

Every job is going to be unique. Until we complete a review of your situation, we can't provide you with the amount of time your job will take.

However, depending on several factors, hoarding jobs will typically take our team three to five days to finish. Biohazard remediation and crime scene cleanup will typically take four to eight hours.
